Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide surface treatment method for an aluminum material, contributing to wear resistance, capable of forming a thick film increased in adhesion to a base material as compared with conventional treatment method, and also capable of performing surface modification over a wide region at a time, and its treatment film.
SOLUTION: In this surface treatment method for an aluminum material, the surface of a base material 1 composed of aluminum is coated with a Zn-Al alloy solder 2, as a low melting metal softer than the base material 1, by means of ultrasonic soldering. Subsequently, the base material 1 of aluminum, on which the coating layer is formed, is put into a can 5 made of steel together with hard grains 4 for surface modification and sealed under vacuum. Then, while applying hydrostatic pressure to the whole of the can 5, the can 5 is subjected to temp. raise up to a temp. lower than the melting point of the solder 2 as coating metal and to holding, by which the hard grains 4 are dispersed in the coating layer.
