Abstract:
To provide sustained-release external preparation compositions that are easy to control release and produce and in which a feeling of foreign matter is improved.SOLUTION: Provided is a sustained-release external preparation composition comprising the following components (i) to (iii): (i) one or more polymers selected from the group consisting of hydroxyalkyl cellulose, carboxyalkyl cellulose, cationized cellulose, and ester derivatives thereof, and salts thereof; (ii) (ii-1) alkyl cellulose, hydroxyalkyl alkyl cellulose, hydrophobized cellulose, and ester derivatives thereof, and salts thereof, and (ii-2) one or more polymers selected from the group consisting of alkylene-based polymers and copolymers thereof, and salts thereof; and (iii) active ingredients, and comprising particles having the properties of (a) to (d): (a) the active ingredient being contained within the particles; (b) the volume distribution average particle size being 1 to 900 nm; (c) the particles having the property that the contact angle of water on the particle film is 20-70 degrees; and(d) the particles being substantially free of surfactant.SELECTED DRAWING: None
