Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the high-speed switching operation of a current drive type switching element.

CONSTITUTION: A driving current is supplied to an electrostatic induced transistor (SIT) 1 as the current drive type switching element to control power supplied from a DC power source E to a load Z, and the SIT 1 is driven. The driving current is supplied to the SIT 1 when a first constant current source 7 with switch is conducted and a second constant current source 8 with switch is not conducted. The supply of the driving current to the SIT 1 is cut off when the second constant current source 8 with switch is conducted and the first constant current source 7 with switch is not conducted. The current capacity of the second current source 8 with switch is larger than that of the first constant current source 7 with switch.
