PURPOSE: To omit a transformer or a switching power supply for an exclusive remote controller by supplying a remote controller stand-by power from a main power supply circuit in a television(TV) receiver.

CONSTITUTION: A stand-by power supply winding 3c is wound as the secondary winding of a switching transformer 3 in addition to a main power supplying winding 3b for a deflecting video circuit. The voltage of the winding 3c is rectified and smoothed by a diode 9 and a capacitor 10, the rectified and smoothed voltage is supplied to a stand-by power supply stabilizing circuit 11 and the output voltage of the circuit 11 is impressed to a main power supply opening/closing control circuit 12. The circuit 12 is controlled by the remote controller, and at the time of receiving a remote control signal, sets up a switching transistor 13 to a conductive state. Thereby a relay 14 is excited, its switch 15 is closed and the voltage of a point C, i.e., power from a receiver main power supply, is supplied to the deflecting video circuit or the like.
