To provide a method for synthesizing a protein by using a cell-free protein synthetic system, capable of stably and simply synthesizing a sufficient amount of protein and a method for synthesizing the protein.
In the synthesis of a protein using a cell-free protein synthetic system containing a cell-free extract, a synthetic reaction solution containing cell-free extracted solution and low molecule substrate is brought through a membrane into contact with a low molecular substrate solution and the low molecular substrate in the low molecular substrate solution is transferred to a synthetic reaction solution by molecular diffusion. Thereby, the concentration of low molecular substrate in the synthetic reaction solution is kept to nearly constant value and low molecular by-products in the synthetic reaction solution are discharged into the low molecular substrate solution.
