PURPOSE: To prevent the extension of a fault by retrieving the agent that is applied by a resource application relation retrieval means when a report of the fault is received from an agent and discontinuing the application through the agent.

CONSTITUTION: A management data storage part 6 of a manager 1a stores the application relation between the application used by an agent and the resources, and a resource application relation retrieval means 1105 of a management application 3 retrieves the application relation. When a management information collection means 11 of the manager 1a receives the notification of a fault from the agent via a communication processing part 5, the application 3 retrieves the application using the fault area via the means 1105 and requests the agent where the retrieved application is installed to stop the operation of the application through an agent operation means 12 and the part 5. Then the restart of the application is requested with reception of the notification of recovery of the fault.
