Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the interference of an active robot with an object without setting a fence around the robot.SOLUTION: A system for monitoring the intrusion of an object around a robot comprises: a sensor part for monitoring the intrusion of a new object which is previously unregistered into an operation area which is set to include the operable range of the robot; a visible light-irradiation part which irradiates at least outer edge part of at least one of the operation area and a prescribed area set around the operation area with a visible light from a position higher than the robot; and a monitoring control part for requesting stop of the robot to a robot control part when it is determined by the sensor part that there is the intrusion of the new object into the operation area.
