PURPOSE: To obtain the system for recognizing card insertion not requiring the setting of stitch and the response from a card.

CONSTITUTION: When a card is inserted into a slot S to be inserted, a conductive member for detecting normal card insertion connects the prescribed electrodes (a) and (b) for detecting normal insertion. The current flows from the power supply through the pull-up resistance in the mutually connected electrodes (a) and (b) for detecting normal insertion. The potential of the current flow terminal of the pull-up resistance descends when the current flows the pull-up resistance, and the normal insertion detection circuit detects that the required card is inserted into the required slot.
