Title:
SYSTEM FOR SUPPLYING EMITTED LIGHT FOR PHOTOTHERAPY, SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING QUANTITY OF SAID LIGHT, DETECTOR FOR SAID LIGHT, AND OPTICAL FIBER PAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06296706
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a system for detecting the intensity and controlling the amount of the light radiation directed upon an infant, a light detector and a fiberoptic pad. CONSTITUTION: A system for detecting and controlling the amount of the light radiation directed upon an infant from a fiberoptic phototherapy pad by feedback from a light detector 42 that itself is a fiberoptic pad. The light detector, i.e., the fiberoptic phototherapy pad 42 receives and detects the light density radiation over an area and is located intermediate the normal fiberoptic phototherapy pad 40 and the infant. In some embodiments, the light detector pad is manufactured as part of the fiberoptic phototherapy pad itself as a unitary construction. Although the light readily travels through the light detector 42 to the infant, the light detector 42 can detect intensity and density of the light passing there through.
