To provide tableware separation and turnover method and device by which separation and turnover of front and rear faces of a tableware, which is positioned at an uppermost end of a tableware row in which plural tablewares are overlapped, can be sequentially and quickly performed with a compact configuration, and a tableware washing system and a tableware washing method.SOLUTION: A tableware separation and turnover device comprising: separation means 300 which reciprocationally rotates an arm unit 501, to which a grip chuck for gripping an outer peripheral edge of a tableware W is fixed, in a prescribed angular range between an inclined position and a substantially horizontal position; lifting means 400 which lifts a tableware positioned at an uppermost end to a separable position; and turnover means 700 having a rotary drum which forms a tableware storage space for storing a separated tableware, and is intermittently rotated in one direction. When the arm unit is rotated to the substantially horizontal position, the grip chuck grips an outer peripheral edge of a tableware positioned at the uppermost end of a tableware row and separates said tableware, and when the arm unit is rotated to the inclined position, the separated tableware is released and is transferred into the tableware storage space, the front face side of the tableware is inverted downward by intermittent rotation of the rotary drum, and is dropped from the tableware storage space by self-weight and is released.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
