Abstract:
PURPOSE: To a tartar preventive oral-cavity composition that contains a mixture of a fluoride source, tooth polishing agent, and phosphorus-containing compound with a specific polymer, and is effective without presence of germicidal compositions and stable in the presence of saliva or salivary enzymes. CONSTITUTION: This tartar preventive oral-cavity composition contains (A) a fluorine source, for example, an alkali metal fluoride or stannous fluoride, (B) a tooth polishing agent, for example, an anhydrous polyphosphate of linear molecules, and (C) a tartar preventive agent that contains C1: a phosphorus- containing compound selected from aminophosphonic acids, diphosphonic acid, phosphonoalkane carboxylic acids, hydroxyphosphono carboxylic acids, polyphosphoric acids, polyol phosphoric esters, aminophosphonates, and C2: a monopolymer of a carboxylic acid monomer selected from 2-8C monounsaturated monocarboxylic acids, and dicarboxylic acid or a copolymer that contains 30wt.% or more of the above monomer and 5wt.% or more of a comonomer at a weight ratio of (C1:tC2) from (1:10) to (10;1).
