PURPOSE: To enable to confirm the recording of objective TV broadcast, by displaying the master and slave screens on a cathode ray tube with synthesis, when the reception of a reserved program is started and a video recording is made.
CONSTITUTION: When the channel selection button 7 for slave screen is depressed, the slave screen generating circuit 9 produces the slave screen video signal to feed it to the slave screen synthesis circuit 5 and to feed the slave screen switching signal (a) to the logical product circuit 11. On the other hand, when the slave screen ON switch 14 is closed, the input to the logic of the circuit 11 is at logic 1, the signal (a) is fed to the circuit 5 to switch the slave screen display state, and the master and slave screen both video signals are synthesized and displayed on the cathode ray tube. Further, when the recording switch 19 is closed, the logic is at logic 1 and the circuit 5 is switched to the slave screen display state. Further, when the switch 19 is closed, a voltage is fed to the recording section 17 to make the recording section 17 into recording state. With this constitution, even if the switch 14 is open, the circuit 5 is switched to the slave screen display state with the switch 19 closed.
