To provide a temperature controlled oscillator in which oscillation frequency increases continuously as the temperature rises.
The temperature controlled oscillator comprises a temperature detecting section 10 outputting a detection voltage VT increasing as the ambient temperature rises by dividing a power supply voltage VDD by resistors 11 and 12 having different temperature coefficients, a reference voltage generating section 20 outputting a reference voltage VR independent from the ambient temperature by dividing the power supply voltage VDD by resistors 21 and 22 having the same temperature coefficients, and an amplifying section 30 creating a control voltage CV by amplifying the differential voltage between the detection voltage VT and the reference voltage VR. Oscillation frequency of a voltage controlled oscillation circuit consisting of a charge/discharge section 50, a comparison section 60 and a pulse generating section 70 is controlled by a control voltage CV created at the amplifying section 30. Since a resistance element having negative temperature characteristics is not required, a temperature controlled oscillator in which oscillation frequency increases continuously as the temperature rises can be obtained without employing an intricate manufacturing process.
