The terminal metal fitting 10 is equipped with a wire barrel 12 crimped to a wire core part 93 exposed at the terminal of an electric wire 90, and an insulation barrel 13 positioned in the rearward and crimped to an insulation covering 92 of the electric wire 90. At both end parts in the axial direction of the wire barrel 12, a contraction part 18 respectively contracted in the direction in which the diameter is contracted of the crimped core wire part 93 is installed. The contraction part 18 is struck out so as to protrude to the core wire 93 side and formed to be extended in a direction crossing at right angles the axial direction in the wire barrel 12.
