Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric for paper that has high abrasion resistance and dimension stability.SOLUTION: A fabric for paper (1) has a running face side weft (3) and a running face side warp (2) that are woven into each other. The running face side weft includes a first running face weft (3a) made of polyamide monofilament, and a second running face side weft (3b) made of polyester monofilament. The running face side weft has a long crimp, which passes through the running face side of the running face side warp by 7 to 19 strands of the running face side warp. The second running face side weft has a short crimp (8), which is shorter by two or three strands of the running face side warp than the long crimp. Due to the difference in length between the long and short crimps, the long crimp protrudes from the running face side slightly more than the short crimp, but the difference of protrusion is small, therefore both crimps wear in substantially even manner and abrasion resistance of the fabric for paper is improved. Rigidity of the polyester monofilament ensures a dimension stability.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
