Abstract:

To provide combinations including high dose(s) of a CCB (calcium channel blocker) and/or an ACEI (angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor) exhibiting not only an excellent blood pressure regulation but also an excellent, unexpected and a more advantageous effect than that of low doses combination of amlodipine and benazepril.

Application of the combination of (1) the ACEI selected from a group of benazepril, benazeprilat and medically acceptable their salts and (2) amlodipine or its medically acceptable salt to produce a drug for treatment, prevention or delay of progress of symptoms. The symptoms are selected from a group of hypertension, congestive heart failure, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, atherosclerosis, diabetic neuropathy, diabetic cardiac myopathy, renal insufficiency, peripheral vascular disease, left ventricular dysfunction, left ventricular hypertrophy, cognitive dysfunction, cerebrovascular diseases related to hypertension, palpitation, pulmonary diseases or pulmonary hypertension and headache.
