Title:
THERMALLY TRANSFERABLE PRINTING AND THERMALLY TRANSFERABLE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02252599
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable easy preparation of a pattern and printing of even a few number of sheets at low cost by cutting the adhesive layer, base and thermally transferable layer of a thermally transferable material in any appropriate pattern, peeling a part other than the pattern off a peel-off paper, attaching the thermally transferable layer to a material to be transferred to, and heating them from the peel-off paper side.

CONSTITUTION: A thermally transferable material A consists of an adhesive layer 2, a base 3 and a thermally transferable layer 4 formed on a peel-off paper 1 in that order. The thermally transferable layer 4, base 3 and adhesive layer 2 of the thermally transferable material A are cut to any appropriate pattern. The thermally transferable layer 4 and the base 3 other than the required part are peeled off with the adhesive layer 2. The thermally transferable material A is attached to a material to be transferred to such cloth products as T-shirts, trainers or to synthetic leathers under pressure so that the thermally transferable layer 4 faces downward. After this, a heating device such as an iron is applied to the rear of the thermally transferable material. Thus any pattern can be printed on the material to be transferred.
