Abstract:
The thread clamp consists of two clamping members (1, 2) which are arranged relative to one another in such a way that a nip (3) having a curved cross-sectional shape and with a width decreasing continuously in the effective direction and a continuously increasing cross-sectional contour is formed. The holding of a weft thread is brought about by the elastic deformation of the weft thread (4) and a partial looping round one of the clamping members, with the result that damage to the thread is largely avoided.
