To provide a three-dimensional loom for weaving a three-dimensional woven fabric having dense texture and high quality.
A pressing apparatus 8 is placed just after a cloth fell position 6 in a manner to enable reciprocating motion along the winding direction of a woven fabric W. A woven-shape keeping apparatus 7 is extended from the cloth fell position 6 along the winding direction of the woven fabric W. The woven-shape keeping apparatus 7 is provided with a chain conveyor 9 for supporting the back face of the woven fabric and transporting the fabric W in the winding direction. Plural weft-engaging pins 19 are protruded from the transporting face of the chain conveyor 9 in a manner arranged with equal spaces in the winding direction. An engaging rod moves in horizontal and vertical directions interlocked with the insertion motion of a weft Y and the motion of the woven-shape keeping apparatus 7 to effect the engagement of the weft Y with a weft engaging pin 19 positioned nearest to the cloth fell position 6.
