Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily input a three-dimensional shape intended by an operator by selecting an arbitrary cross section on the screen of a CRT, displaying this cross section on the screen of the CRT, adding a cross section data to an inputted two-dimensional cross sectional shape on the displayed picture, and storing it in a computer. CONSTITUTION:First of all, a three-dimensional coordinate system is displayed on the screen of the CRT, and the display picture is selected by rotating and parallelly moving three-dimensional X, Y and Z axes by using a mouse or the like. Then, the cross sectional shape is inputted while being displayed on the screen of the CRT at present. Namely, a circular arc/straight line F or the like can be inputted on a display picture P by using the mouse or the shape F such as the circular arc/straight line or the like can be inputted by a symbol or a numerical value from a keyboard. Then, the obtained cross sectional shape is stored in the computer together with the cross section data of the display picture. At this time point, the inputted two-sectional shape is added the cross section data and inputted as a three-dimensional data. Thus, the complicated three-dimensional shape can be easily inputted.
