Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a three-dimensional virtual instruction input system which can easily give a proper reaction force corresponding to the movement of a body to be operated in a three-dimensional space to the motion of the hand of a user.

CONSTITUTION: This system consists of a board which is provided corresponding to the equipment in the three-dimensional virtual space displayed on a display device 132 and gives the proper reaction force when touched with the hand of the user, a three-dimensional hand position sensor 101 which is fitted to the hand of the user and measures the position of the hand on the board in three dimensions, and an operation analysis part 102 which analyzes the displacement quantity of the three-dimensional hand position sensor 101 as a user's instruction and feeds it back to a computer system. The equipment in the three- dimensional virtual space matches the board, and when a body to be operated which is placed on the equipment is moved, the user assumes the board as the equipment and operates the object body on the board. When the board is touched with a finger of the user, interference of an instruction transmission body with the object body is caused and the proper reaction force is returned from the board to the finger of the user.
