Abstract:
To provide an improved approach to tire storage and removal and tire inventory.SOLUTION: In a storage array, plates each including a plurality of roller pairs and at least one motor for spinning each of the roller pairs are disposed between each of the roller pairs. A nudge in a horizontal direction is disposed on each of the plates, and moves a tire in the horizontal direction in the storage array. By spinning the roller pair supporting the tire and lifting the plate below the tire, the tire 101 moves in a longitudinal direction in the storage array, and as a result, the tire can roll back and forth in the storage array. The storage array may connect to a planer or recessed bottom surface where the tire rolls, or a distribution system 1100 including a plurality of channels 1102 having a vertical side wall extending upward from the bottom surface. In order to control movement of the tire passing through the distribution system, an accelerator, a brake, a bonding portion, and an elevator may be disposed in the channel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
