Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten the heating time of a tube and consequently contrive to enhance its production efficiency by a method wherein a mold is instantane ously heated by induction heating. CONSTITUTION:Power supply is put to work under the state that a resin tube 10 is pushed against the inner most recess side of the insertion part 23 of a mold 20 by inserting the tip of the resin tube 10 in the insertion part 23. By passing the predetermined alternate current through an induction coil 30, the mold 20 is put in alternating field and generates heat by itself due to eddy current loss and magnetic hysteresis loss, resulting in instantaneously heating the mold up to a temperature, which is not less than the melting point of the resin tube 10. Consequently, the tip of the resin tube 10, which is being pressed in the insertion part 23 of the mold 20, is pushed under softened and molten state in the insertion part 23 and the tip deforms along the shape of the inner bottom face 22 of the insertion part 23, resulting in clogging the tip opening and forming the tip into a hemispherical shape. After the tip of the resin tube is formed into the required shape in the mold, the energizing to the resin coil 30 is stopped for cooling the mold 20. After the solidification of the tip of the resin tube 10, the tube is drawn out of the mold 20.
