PURPOSE: To easily adjust the positional deviation of a recording beam spot and a reproducing beam spot in a short time with high accuracy by rotating a wedge-shaped glass board provided on an optical path and adjusting a position by moving a beam spot.
CONSTITUTION: In a device recording and reproducing by irradiating an optical card 1 with reproducing and recording luminous flux which are emitted from semiconductor lasers 21 and 22 pass through a prism 26, and thereafter pass through a same optical path, the wedge-shaped glass board 41 is inserted in a recording light path. Then, a recording beam spot is rotated around the center of an optical axis by rotating the glass board 41 around the optical axis, and so, positional adjustment in the direction of tracking with a reproducing beam spot is executed. Consequently, the adjustment of the positional deviation of the reproducing spot and the recording spot is executed with high accuracy in a shot time.
