PURPOSE: To improve the adhesive strength between a charge generating layer and a charge transferring layer, to provide superior durability, and to form an image of higher quality by interposing a charge transferring intermediate layer between said layers so as to adhere the layers.
CONSTITUTION: A charge transferring intermediate layer contg. a thermoplastic polyester carbonate polymer as a resin binder is interposed between the charge generating layer and the charge transferring layer of a composite type electrophotographic sensitized plate. The adhesive strength between the charge generating layer and the charge transferring layer is improved, and an image of higher quality is formed. The preferred intermediate layer is a layer of only the thermosetting polyester carbonate polymer or a layer consisting of the polymer and a charge generating substance or a charge transferring substance. A known org. pigment, a known dye, a charge-transfer complex, cadmium sulfide, cadmium selenide, arsnic triselenide, antimony trisulfide, cadmium sulfoselenide, zinc sulfide, zinc oxide or a mixture thereof is used as the charge generating substance.
