Abstract:
To guide a large quantity of travel wind by a to-be-cooled body side while protecting the to-be-cooled body from a pebble thrown up by a front wheel, in a to-be-cooled body protective structure of a saddle riding type vehicle in which a guard member protecting at least a front part of the to-be-cooled body requiring to be cooled with travel wind is disposed behind the front wheel while supported by a vehicle body frame across a pair of right and left frame members.SOLUTION: In the to-be-cooled body protective structure of the saddle riding type vehicle, a plurality of through-holes 61 to 66 provided in a guard member are respectively formed into a non-circular shape while having at least one of linear edge parts 61a, 61b; 62a, 62b, 62c; 63a, 63b, 63c; 64a, 64b, 64c; 65a, 65b, 65c; 66a, 66b, extending linearly, and the arrangement of the non-circular through-holes 61 to 66 is set such that, in the adjacent non-circular through-holes, linear ribs 70, 73, 71, 74, 72 are formed between mutually opposed linear edge parts 61a, 62a; 62b, 63b; 63a, 64a; 64b, 65b; 65a, 66a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
