Title:
TOE ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR AUTOMOBILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10315726
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To simply perform adjusting works of toe-in/out by providing pairs of elliptic holes and insertion bolts at the symmetrical locations of a cross member and constituting a toe adjusting device by a limiting means for moving these bolt locations and a means adjusting intervals of freely idly moving left and right arms and the bolts.

This device is coupled with elliptic holes 1 formed at a symmetrical location isolated by a prescribed distance at a cross member 53 and bolts 2 so that arms 55 may be inserted into these holes 1, the arms 55 on both the sides may be revolvably coupled and the arms 55 may be idly moved at the inside. The device is constituted of a limiting means formed at the cross member 53 so as to limit locations at one end or both the ends of the bolts 2 and an adjusting means which is successively provided so as to interlock the bolts 2 at the inside of the elliptic holes 1. When a worker adjusts a toe, the adjustment is performed by revolving a screw member 11 of the adjusting means and moving a cylinder member screwed onto this screw member 11, after a vehicle is ascended by a lifter. Therefore, a toe adjusting work can be easily performed.
