Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a toilet excellent in fire retardantness and thermal stability by preparing its material as a mixture of polyolefin, tris phosphate, and antimony trioxide in a specific mix proportion.

CONSTITUTION: 100 parts by wt. polyolefin consisting of random polymeride of α-olefins with one another such as ethylene or a copolymer including it, approx. 1.0-50 parts by wt. tris (neo-pentyl bromide) phosphate, and approx. 0.2-20 parts by wt. antimony trioxide are mixed together using a tumbler type blender or the like so that a fire retardant resin material for a toilet is made. This is once pelletized directly by a single axis extruder, etc., and then subjected to an injection molding process so that a water closet of desired form is accomplished.
