Title:
TORQUE CONVERTER WITH INERTIA VARIABLE MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010101345
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To reduce a mounting cost for an inertia variable mechanism and avoid the occurrence of the unbalance thereof.

In this torque converter with the inertia variable mechanism, a plurality of fluid chambers 9 are formed in the casing 1 of the torque converter at equal intervals in the circumferential direction while extending in the radial direction. A weight 10 is slidably inserted into each fluid chamber 9 liquid-tight in the extending direction of the liquid chamber. Two hydraulic fluid circuits 5, 6 in the casing 1 and both ends of each fluid chamber 9 in the extending direction communicate with each other through hydraulic fluid passages 1b, 1c.
