Title:
TORQUE DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0968471
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To detect a difference between torque produced in a drive means such man power and/or an electric motor and the other torque produced in a mean to be driven, arrange a detection means at an unrotatable constant position, and contrive simplification of wiring and long lifetime of a torque detector.

This detector comprises a main circular rotation body 2 providing a torsion groove 21 or a projection on the inner circumferential face, a torque detection ring 3 concentrically engaged on the rotation body 2, and providing a projection 31 or a torsion groove on the outer circumferential face and a parallel groove 32 or a projection on the inner circumferential face, and a sub-rotation body 4 concentrically engaged on the torque detection ring 3, and providing a projection 41 or a parallel groove on the outer circumferential face. The main rotation body 2 and the sub-rotation body 4 are linked by an energization means 5 for energizing these relative position to a normal position. In addition this detector comprises, a detection means 55 for detecting a quantity of upward and downward displacement of the torque detection ring 3 due to a phase difference between the main rotation body 2 and the sub-rotation body 4.
