Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a touch panel having a number of contacts smaller than the number of touch keys when compared with a conventional touch panel having a plurality of touch keys corresponding to the number of contacts.
SOLUTION: The touch panel includes an oscillator for outputting a voltage having a predetermined frequency; a panel unit made of an electric insulator; a plurality of electrodes provided on both side surfaces of the panel unit as the plurality of touch keys; contactors or connectors for short-circuiting the plurality of electrodes provided on one side surface of the panel unit, bringing into contact with or connected to anywhere of one of the short-circuited electrodes or short-circuited parts to supply the output voltage of the oscillator to the electrodes, and taking out the output voltage of the electrode; and a sensor for determining touched one of the touch keys on the basis of an output signal of the contactor or connector and sensing the touching of the key.
