Abstract:
To suppress meander of a plate while applying tensile force of a prescribed range to the plate in a transport device which has plural pinch roll units in series.SOLUTION: In order to control tensile force of a plate to a prescribed allowable range, at least one pinch roll unit gives drive power to the plate, and further, at least one other pinch roll unit performs control for giving brake force to the plate. In the pinch roll unit which gives drive power to the plate, a rolling device at a working side and a driving side of the pinch roll unit is operated in a direction in which a load at a plate width center position target value side is relatively increased compared to the other with a plate width center position current value as a reference. In the pinch roll unit which gives brake force to the plate, a rolling device at the working side and the driving side of the pinch roll unit is operated in a direction in which the load at the plate width center position target value side is relatively decreased compared to the other with a plate width center position current value as a reference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
