To provide a transport device easy to perform the maintenance and inspection works and capable of reducing the cost.
The transport device is structured so that a three-phase synchronous motor SM coupled with a transport roller 4 to transport works W is connected with a control panel 20. The synchronous motor SM has a plurality of teeth and an A-phase exciting coil, a B-phase exciting coil and a C-phase exciting coil which are wound round at every third teeth of the motor SM. The coils are wired in a delta form. The U-phase AC current is fed to the first input terminal of the motor SM, while the V-phase AC current is fed to the second input terminal, and the W-phase AC current is fed to the third input terminal. Through the control panel 20, the three-phase AC currents are impressed on the respective input terminals.
