To provide a transverse induction heating device capable of enlarging a distance between two coils arranged at upper and under sides of a conductive plate as a heating target rather than a conventional induction heating device while restraining deterioration of heating efficiency.
A heating coil width of the upper heating coil 24 and a heating coil width of the under heating coil 28 are set up to become a distance (gap) between the upper heating coil 24 and the under heating coil 28 or more. Thus, a main magnetic field generated from the induction heating device 20 can be set to become greater than a leaked magnetic field even when the gap is enlarged. Consequently, the transverse induction heating device capable of obtaining suitable heating efficiency and enlarging the gap rather than the conventional induction heating device can be achieved.
