PURPOSE: To effectively eliminate and prevent back pains without restricting freedom of movement by providing a support part of a lumbar area serving as a support belt matched to the curvature of a spinal column at the time of leaning back and as a flexible joint belt at the time of bending forward.

CONSTITUTION: This trapeze 1 for surfers and sailors has a back face part 4, hip and abdominal parts, a back part, a lumbar support part, a cover, and back straps and shoulder straps 27, 28 for fixing the trapeze 1 to a support member 44 having a hook plate or a trapeze hook 45. The support part for a lumbar area 10 of a surfer or sailor made of support joints 11 with limited flexibility interlocking with one another is integrated in the back face part 4. When the surfer leans back in the arrow (a) direction, the support joints 11 are folded in a nested state into a support belt 46 matched to the curvature of a spinal column 9 in the lumbar area 10. When the surfer bends forward in the arrow (b) direction, the support joints 11 spread out from one another into a flexible joint belt 47.
