Abstract:
PURPOSE:To delete power transmission mechanism parts necessary for steering by mounting the primary side coil of a linear induction motor for generating a moving magnetic field in a linear traveling axis direction and a lateral traveling axis direction under the floor of a conveying vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The primary side coils 8a, 8b of a linear induction motor for generating a moving magnetic field in an X-axis direction are disposed at both sides of a conveying vehicle 1, and the primary side coils 8c, 8d of the motor for generating a moving magnetic field in an Y-axis direction are disposed at front and rear sides. The secondary side conductor 1 of the motor are mounted on a road opposed to the coils. The vehicle 1 is traveled and steered by the composite force of thrust vectors generated by the currents flowing to the coils 8a-8d of the motor.
