Abstract:
To learn travel load information as a basic data instead of prestoring a basic data of the travel load leaning information in a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM.
When a vehicle travels on a road, a current position of the traveling vehicle is found by utilizing road map information used in a navigation system. Travel load information of the road of the current position is estimated, and the traveling load information associated with the current position is learned and stored in a map DB 4c of a navigation ECU 4. In this way, travel load information is learned while the vehicle travels.
