PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling control device for a vehicle capable of solving the inefficient feeling or uncomfortable feeling given to a driver at the starting of a vehicle to improve the drivability and reducing the development cost for product.
SOLUTION: This device comprises an initial value arithmetic means for calculating the initial value of a target drive torque in the starting of the vehicle; a target speed arithmetic means for calculating the target speed of the vehicle; a vehicle speed measuring means for measuring the speed of the vehicle; a target drive torque arithmetic means for calculating the target drive torque of the vehicle on the basis of each output signal from the initial value arithmetic means, the target speed arithmetic means and the vehicle speed measuring means; and a target throttle opening arithmetic means for calculating a target throttle opening on the basis of the output signal from the target drive torque arithmetic means. The target drive torque arithmetic means calculates the target drive torque on the basis of the initial value, the target speed and the vehicle speed in the starting of the vehicle.
