Title:
TRAVELLING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07184364
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent chips dropped on the upper surface and within the inside of a travelling apparatus from entering the gap between a linear motor and a secondary conductor.

CONSTITUTION: A chip removing brush 11 is provided at both end surfaces and side surfaces in the travelling direction of a travelling truck 3. This chip removing brush 11 is attached after the end points of brush are neated to be softly in contact with a fixing part not resulting in any resistance for the travelling of the travelling truck 3 so that a gap between the linear motor 4 and secondary conductor 5, tooth engaging portion between a rack 7 and a pinion 8 and a gap between the travelling track 3 and a linearly moving guide can be made small. Moreover, a chip receiver 2 is also provided at both end portions of a fixed base 1. The brush 11 makes small the gap through which the chips enters, preventing that chips enter the gap between the linear motor 4 and secondary conductor 5 to interfere the travelling of the travelling truck 3. Chips can be removed by the brush 11 and are then discharged to the chip receiver 12.
