PURPOSE: To obtain cloth having excellent durability and water and oil repellency, by treating cloth with an aqueous dispersion comprising a fluorine-containing copolymer having a unit of polymerized fluoroolefin and a unit of polymerized macromonomer with a hydrophilic site.

CONSTITUTION: A fluoroolefin, preferably 2-4C fluoroolefin such as tetrafluoroolefin is copolymerized with a macromonomer with a hydrophilic site such as a polyether shown by formula I or formula II (1 is 1-10; m is 1-4; n is 2-20; X is H or lower alkyl) to give a fluorine-containing copolymer having 30-70mol% unit of polymerized fluoroolefin and 0.3-20mol% unit of polymerized macromonomer with a hydrophilic site. Cloth is provided with an aqueous dispersion of the copolymer to give cloth having excellent handle, improved durability and excellent water and oil repellency.
