Abstract:

To provide a method for treating plastics which decreases sublimated compounds generated in a dechlorination process of a mixture of plastics, causes little operation troubles such as clogging of pipes of an apparatus and gives usable materials such as a solid fuel, a reducing agent for an ore and the like.

A method for treating a mixture of plastics comprises a step of heating and dechlorinating a mixture of plastics at 150 to 290°C, a step of adding at least one selected from a metal hydroxide, a metal oxide and a metal carbonate and heating the mixture at 290 to 350°C and a step of cooling and solidifying thereof.
