Abstract:
The invention provides a vibrato and bridge device for guitars and an associated guitar body (10), in which a vibrato board (27), on which bridge elements are adjustably attached, is pivotably assigned, on a blade-like edge (28), to a grooved bar (18), so that a very free pivoting effect and a high resistance to wear are provided. The grooved bar (18) is very close to the upper surface of the guitar body (10) and has a flange (20) which extends upwards from a body region (19) of the bar (18) fixed to recessed sections (22) of the upper section of the guitar body (10). By means of tension springs (48), which are hooked into the body (10) via an anchoring claw (49), the vibrato board (27) is drawn forward so that the blade-like edge (28) fits into the groove (29). Such springs (48) are not directly connected to the vibrato board (27), but instead are connected to an angled lever (47) which is articulated on the underside of the vibrato board (27). The angled lever (47) is set or adjusted relative to the vibrato board the by means of a set-screw (52), as a result of which the tension of the springs (48) is varied, so that the "zero point" of the vibrato device, that is to say the angle of the vibrato board (27) relative to the upper surface of the guitar body (10), can be precisely...when the vibrato handle (53) is not subject to the action of pressure ...
