Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound having antioestrogen action selectively inhibiting action of estrogen to estrogen receptor α-isoform and capable of becoming a therapeutic agent for estrogen-dependent diseases. SOLUTION: This compound is a triphenylmethane derivative of formula I [R1 is a 1-6C haloalkyl, benzyl or the like; R2 , R5 and R6 are each a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R3 and R4 are each H, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R7 and R8 are each H, a 1-6C alkyl or 1-6C haloalkyl; (n1) is 0-4; (n2) and (n3) are each 1-3] or its pharmacologically permissible salt, e.g. a compound of formula II. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting, e.g. a benzaldehyde derivative of formula III [R17 is H or an organic residue; R18 is a halogen or the like; (m1) is 0-4] with a benzene derivative of formula IV [R19 is same as R17 ; R21 is same as R18 ; (m2) is 1-4] and formula V [R20 is same as R17 ; R22 is same as R18 ; (m3) is l-4].
