A base 4 is fixed on an upper end of a work shaft 7 of a precision grinder furnished with a numerical control mechanism and free to revolve around a center of the work shaft 7 as a revolving shaft 11. An electric motor 5 having a drive shaft 8 in parallel with the revolving shaft 11 is set on the base 4, and a position of the electric motor 5 on the base 4 is controlled by a positioning device 3. A grinding wheel 2 for truing is a rotary grinding wheel, installed on the drive shaft 8 of the electric motor 5 and rotationally driven around a rotary shaft 12 in parallel with a center of the drive shaft 8, that is, the revolving shaft 11. Molding of an outer peripheral surface of a rotary grinding wheel 1 for grinding is carried out after adjusting a distance (x) from the revolving shaft 11 to the grinding wheel 2 for truing by the positioning device 3.
