Title:
TUBE COUPLING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3561098
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of minimizing risk of coupling trouble by damage and deformation of a head of a collet or the gripping action to a tube.
SOLUTION: A tube coupling is composed of a coupling main body 10 having a through passage 11 opening on one end to house a tube. A collet 26 arranged on the opening end of the through passage to hold the tube in the through passage, is arranged outside the through passage, and is composed of an annular head 27 having plural arms 28. The arms 28 extend in the through passage, and are terminated with an expanded head 29. The inside of the collet and the outside of the tube have parallel cam surfaces 20 and 25 having a taper reducing and contracting toward the opening end of the through passage. The collet heat 29 has inside and outside surfaces 30 and 31 which are parallel to each other and are parallel to the cam surfaces having a taper and engage with them so that the head receives only compression to resist the tube slipping out of the through passage.
