Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a seal container provided with the required seal strength and barrier properties and also with the easiness of opening of the container and good appearance after opening the container and provide its manufacturing method.
SOLUTION: A tubular body member comprises at least one paperboard body ply and an inner surface. A polymeric liner ply 14 is made to adhere on the inner surface of the tubular body member and comprises a barrier layer and a seal layer. The seal layer defines the innermost surface of the liner and comprises a heat flowable polymer. At least one end of the body member and the liner ply are rolled outwardly to form a flange 15 exposing the seal layer. A lid 11 is used for closing the end of the flange of the tubular body member and comprises a barrier layer and a seal layer adjacent to the seal layer of the liner ply. A seal layer of the lid is also composed of the heat flowable polymer. Respective seal layers are made to adhere together to form a heat seal between the lid and the liner ply.
