To make an information recording member suitable to be carried under heating and pressuring conditions by forming a superposed part at the winding start part and the winding finish part of a film, heating the film after winding a thermoplastic sheet type film round the end face of the film, and thermally welding the film.

A step 3 being a small diameter part is formed in an inside diameter direction on the surface one end part of a columnar member 1. Then, a film for a rib is superposed and wound to be aligned with the step 3. The winding start part and the winding finish part are formed to be superposed. The sheet film is wound round the outer peripheral surface of the member 1 by one turn and wound so that both ends of the film are partially superposed. The member 1 and the wound film are inserted in the hollow part of the tubular member. While the member 1 and the tubular member keep a state where the film is wound in between, they are heated. The dimension of the film is changed by the expansion of the member caused by heating, and both end parts of the film are welded and formed in a tubular state from a sheet state, then integrated.
