Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning tool for working a pad groove of a new structure, forming a groove with a small radius of curvature while enough securing the working surface accuracy of the groove side, besides further improving the working surface accuracy of the base of the groove, and preventing a chip of a knife edge in grooving to improve the lief of the tool.
SOLUTION: In a front flank 16, a bending line 18 extending in the width direction of the blade is provided at a height position of 0.05 to 1.0 mm from the knife edge, the cutter angle θ1 on the knife edge side from the bending line 18 is set to 25°≤θ1≤70°, and the cutter angle θ2 on the base side from the bending line 18 is set to θ2<θ1.
