To provide a TV receiver which prevents a remaining light spot and is provided with a circuit structure and the control procedure of a microcomputer which are not complicated.
The TV receiver 20 includes a flyback transformer 15 for supplying an operation voltage to a cathode-ray tube; and the microcomputer for control for controlling the operation of the TV receiver 20. The secondary side output part 1b of an internal transformer 1 arranged in the flyback transformer 15 comprises a high voltage terminal 1c to which high voltage side lines 7, 17 are connected. The high voltage side line 17 is connected to the anode of the cathode-ray tube. A switching means 10 for anode grounding to be controlled in on/off by the microcomputer for control is arranged between the high voltage side line 17 and the ground. When the off of a power source is detected, the microcomputer for control turns on the anode grounding switching means 10. Consequently, the anode of the cathode-ray tube is grounded via the anode grounding switching means 10.
