Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structurally-simple, lightweight and high-strength umbilical cable rich in flexibility.SOLUTION: In an umbilical cable for connecting a mother ship and an ROV together, an optical fiber core wire is housed in a metal pipe. The metal pipe near the mother ship is longitudinally coated in a twist-wound manner with an exterior iron wire, and the metal pipe near ROV is subjected to flexibilizing processing.
